Raised in the deep woods and creek beds of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kevin developed a sense of adventure and curiosity about what lay just beyond. His first real exploration came at age three, shared with his twin brother. A collie gathered them from the front yard, wordless and inviting, and led them miles into the forest that began across the street. The dog knew where she was going; the brothers did not—and the mystery was irresistible.
That same curiosity carried him into academia, where he pursued his university studies with an eagerness to explore, question, and understand the world. Kevin graduated from Northwestern University in 1994 with a customized major drawing on history, political science, philosophy, and economics—though he prefers to describe it as a study of humanity’s greatest accomplishments: what was done, how, and why. During his undergraduate years, he spent an influential year abroad at The Stanford Japan Center, an experience that drew him back to Japan after graduation, where he lived and worked through 1999. He returned to Northwestern to earn an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 2001 and continues to visit Japan frequently for both work and family.
Kevin’s career has taken him around the globe across IT, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals, working at the intersection of strategy, product marketing, and R&D within some of the world’s most recognized organizations. He has built growth strategies that reshaped markets, introduced products that translated human need into solutions, and led transformations that unlocked organizational excellence in service of vision. Beneath it all runs a lifelong fascination with untapped potential—how it emerges, how it can be guided, and how it can be shared. That same fascination now propels him into authorship, where his experience translating complexity, shaping ideas, and connecting people to solutions inform a new pursuit: crafting stories that invite readers into possibilities yet unseen.
Kevin has always loved the beauty of language, the craft of articulation, and the power of a thoughtful voice to connect. These passions were instilled by his mother, an English teacher and master storyteller. He began telling his own stories to captivate and inspire his sons, carrying forward the art his mother introduced him to—imbued with wonder and magic.

- My body of work consists of multiple standalone stories and developing projects designed to support character development through choice, consequence, and reflection.
- Character-led picture book narratives exploring self-empowering choice.
- Middle-grade stories centered on empathy, responsibility, and growth.
- Concept-driven narratives using animal protagonists and the natural world to explore themes of growth and agency.
- Several works in progress and completed manuscripts.
- Select projects with series potential, others designed as standalone works.
- Performed specific stories at schools for students and educators to gauge impact. Students wanted a copy of the book, and educators advised to seek publication.
